Tanning

Tanning beds use UV light to tan people. It's the same process as tanning outdoors in the sun. There are always risks with tanning, whether it's indoors or outdoors, but there are many things you can do to tan safely. Here are some tips but just remember when you use our tanning bed you are doing so at your own risk.

Develop a base tan
Start with just a few minutes to see how your skin reacts.
Gradually increase the time as your skin gets more tan.

Keep your skin hydrated
Moist skin tans better than dry skin. Make sure you drink enough water and use enough
moisturizer. Also use tanning lotion that is meant for indoor tanning beds.

Don't tan every day
You should wait 48 hours between tanning sessions. That gives your skin enough
time to recover from UV exposure and  create new melanin
which is what gives you your color.

Eye protection
This is very important! Your eyelids only block 25 % of UV rays. We do provide eye protection
so if you don't have your own make sure you ask the front desk to give you a pair.

Lips, Tattoos and Acrylic Nails
Remember to use lip balm with SPF. UV light may cause tattoos colors to fade.
Acrylic nails may yellow in UV light.

Medication
Some medication may cause photosensitivity (sun-allergy) so check with your doctor.
we also have a partial list on the wall next to the tanning bed.

Keep in mind that everyone tans differently, Don't rush it and make sure you never burn. Info on tanning prices and how to add it onto your membership you can check the front desk or the sales office.
